Tigers vs. Yankees - Game 2

Last night, the Yankees clobbered the Tigers, 8-4. Tonight on FOX, it should be a pitchers duel as Justin Verlander makes his first post-season start against veteran Mike Mussina. Verlander, the crafty rookie may have gotten tired at the end of the season but now it's all or nothing.

Can the Tigers get an answer to the Yankees high powered offense? Logic says no. But this is a must win game for Detroit. A win here and the ball should be in their court as the hobbled Randy Johnson is slated for Game 3 later in the week.

Who will pitch a better game? Rookie Verlander or near-hall of famer Mussina?

My pick in the $300 Free Ticket Contest is another Yankee win (although it pains me)...I'll say 6-2, Yanks.

Well, now that the Tigers don't have to deal with the sinker ball, I say they get the bats going tonight and win 5-2.

Re: Tigers vs. Yankees - Game 2

If the Tigers have ANY shot of winning a game in this series, this is the one. Verlander outduels Mussina, 3-2.
