Another A-Rod slump

Don't look now, but Rodriguez is 5 for his last 27. Elias Sports Bureau says that he will have come to bat this year with almost 500 runners on base! I for one still don't think this guy is right, and am expecting another lousy post-season out of him. Hopefully he can prove me wrong.

Re: Another A-Rod slump

The pressure he must be putting on himself is that of five guys. He knows if he has a good post-season, everything will be put to rest. But if he has a poor one, people will continue to call for his head.

Re: Another A-Rod slump

He is still the reigning AL MVP as of now. He just can't handle the pressure of the New York critics and the Yankees organization reported that he is struggling to find himself.

I'll cut him some slack for now. Every player has off-seasons!

Cool Re: Another A-Rod slump

I hope they take all prescription medications ands supplements away from him.

Here is the SI article that was published a few weeks ago that pretty much hits the nail on the head. You really get a feel for how insecure the guy is and how he can't help but put his foot in his mouth. Great read!

Thanks for sharing that article with us.

I knew I read a great A-Rod story in a magazine but I couldn't remember which one.

Re: Another A-Rod slump

The article makes you wonder why he can't just relax, calm down and stop worrying about his image and all that stuff.

Perhaps playing beside Derek Jeter isn't helping.
