| Re: Yankees Back in Town I'd still think Sheffield is a dangerous hitter. In a key spot, I would probably trust him more than anyone else the Yanks could possibly offer up. He wants a ring, so I doubt he'll put up a fuss about his decreased playing time. |

| Re: Yankees Back in Town From what I have seen of Abreu, he has a hard time with a lot of lefties. Sheffield, if he can prove he is healthy, would be a good option against southpaws.That leaves a very dangerous pinch hitter on your bench for a late spot.

| Re: Yankees Back in Town How dangerous will Sheffield continue to be at his age? He must be around 36 years old now and that is considerably old in baseball. I don't see him returning in the next few years. Plus, his contract is up after the World Series. |
