Thanks to the Yankees Baseball Blog for the note on Matsui. He played his first rehab game last night and played as a DH. Earlier today, Joe Torre said that if he makes it back to the majors this year, he'll only play as the DH.

This poses the question if he does return, will Giambi play the majority of first base? That can't be a pleasant sight for Yankee fans, especially in the playoffs.
