Mariano Rivera injury

The muscle strain in Yankee closer Mariano Rivera's right elbow will keep him out of New York's upcoming series with the Kansas City Royals, the Associated Press is reporting. He could be back in time for this weekend's series with the Orioles, though, so stay tuned. How worried are you Yankee fans and fantasy owners about this nagging injury?

Re: Mariano Rivera injury

The injury doesn't seem serious. I'll keep my eye on it and hopes it improves over time. In other words, I'm not paying my full attention to this little strain.

Re: Mariano Rivera injury

It doesn't sound serious. It's a luxury of having a lead that the Yanks do. Rivera should sit for up to a week before getting back into the thick of things.

Re: Mariano Rivera injury

Just like the Mets, the Yanks can rest any injured players... so I'm not really worried about this. I know Rivera has had strains and tweaks many times before.
