Re: Alex Rodriguez now unstoppable?

Is Alex Rodriguez now unstoppable? That's how Mike Fitzpatrick of the Associated Press describes him, at least. "A-Rod hit two homers Sunday and drove in five runs, and Darrell Rasner pitched six impressive innings for his first major league win to lead the New York Yankees past the Minnesota Twins 10-1," writes Fitzpatrick. "Going into Thursday, A-Rod was in a 1-for-24 skid that left fans booing him at Yankee Stadium again. Since then, he's hit five homers in four days."

So, why the turnaround? How did A-Rod break out of his slump, and will he finally hear some cheers in New York again?

Re: Alex Rodriguez now unstoppable?

He's laying off sliders in the dirt, and taking outside pitches to center/right-center. That's what caused the turnaround. And, yes, he's been hearing cheers and will continue to do so in the postseason ( if he can keep this up).

Re: Alex Rodriguez now unstoppable?

the fans stopped booing him out of nowhere and he has hit 5 hrs since then in like the last 4 games. If all i gotta do is cheer to see him hit, i think i can handle that

Enough left in the bat to clinch that 1st seed in my Fantasy League...hopefully I can squeak out a victory with him in the final...

Re: Alex Rodriguez now unstoppable?

He hit his homers off of guys named Garza, Neshek, Silva, and Guerrier-not household names for sure but it's a start. Hopefully he can keep it up, but I need to see more to be convinced his troubles are behind him. He is just one 0 for 5 day at the Stadium away from being booed again. The homer to right center was a good sign. I remember when he hit against the Yankees that it seemed like he hit alot to that area.
