The New York Post is reporting that the Rangers are close to acquiring LW Brendan Shanahan. Would this be a good pickup for New York, in your estimation? Or do they have more pressing needs, like defense?

Shanahan would be a welcome sight on any team...just from having a guy who has been on a championship team.
