| Avery has lacerated spleen Rangers winger Sean Avery is done for the rest of the season after suffering lacerated spleen during Tuesday night's game against the Penguins. Actually, the news seemed much worse at first, as reports surfaced that he had undergone cardiac arrest. According to the AP, "Avery was injured during Tuesday night’s 5-3 loss from a hit, possibly in the first period, but played kept playing despite worsening pain." Tough sonuvagun. He is expected to remain hospitalized for the next several days. Any Rangers comeback will be without injured Avery - NHL - Yahoo! Sports

| Re: Avery has lacerated spleen Wow I heard nothing about that. wouldn't wish such a thing on anyone, but I must say - a game without Avery is a game I will enjoy more. Shows he plays the game full-out, doesn't it? |
