New York Rangers President and GM Glen Sather announced that the Rangers signed Dan Girardi to a contract extention.

The 23 year old Girardi has played 59 game swith the Rangers this season , has 8 goals with 14 assist for 22 points to go along with 14 penalty minutes. Among defenseman he ranks second in goals , third in assist and second in points. He's tied for the team lead for blocked shots with 86. Girardi ranks second for ice time per game , averaging 21:16 , fifth in powerplay goals with 5 and fourth for hits with 121.

I just joined on the 14th and my favorite team is the Toronto Maple Leafs.
