Rangers sign Petr Prucha
NEW YORK (AP) -Forward Petr Prucha agreed to contract terms to stay with the New York Rangers, for whom he has scored 52 goals in two seasons.

Prucha, a 24-year-old native of the Czech Republic who was a restricted free agent, had 22 goals and 18 assists for the Rangers in 79 games last season. He is the first Rangers player to score 20 or more goals in each of his first two NHL seasons since Alex Kovalev in the early 1990s.

Terms of the deal, which was announced Thursday by Rangers president Glen Sather, were not disclosed.
