Rangers Clinch Playoff Birth

With a shootout victory over the Flyers earlier tonight, the Rangers clinched their first playoff birth since 1997. Oh what a long road it's been. Kevin (edit...NOT! rickie, lol) Weekes was in goal tonight and played well, a great sign heading into the playoffs in case Lundqvist's injury wakes up.

That's a biggie. All those years with the All-stars and this is the year the rangers make it in. says something.

Cool Re: Rangers Clinch Playoff Birth

Hopefully they'll go down in the first round. If I can't watch the Isles in the playoffs, the next best thing is rooting for whomever plays the Rangers.

Re: Rangers Clinch Playoff Birth

it's funny how the desire to see a rival fail is almost as strong as the desire to see your own teams win. I'm watching Ottawa GO DOWN.
