| Rangers Thrashers Game 3 GREENBURGH, N.Y. (AP) - Tom Renney flashed a big smile and laughed when asked how this year's playoff experience compares to last season. "Well the fact that we're going into Game 3 with a couple of wins is probably all you need to know," he said. The New York Rangers coach looked relaxed in a sweater and jeans following practice Monday. And why not? His club is back home after two victories in Atlanta over the Southeast Division-champion Thrashers. If the Rangers win consecutive games at Madison Square Garden on Tuesday and Wednesday, they can quickly wrap up the first-round series in a sweep. Last year, after a seven-season absence from the playoffs, New York dropped two in New Jersey and ended up being swept by the Devils. | Ranger fans don't get crazy. After all it's not a real 3 seed. They should do away with the divisions in hockey. The Thrashers are a 3 seed like I'm a 3 seed. Is it fair that the Penguins get a worse match up than the Rangers? I think not. 1940 forever!! |

| Re: Rangers Thrashers Game 3 your arguing for the peguins and the sens that they should be the higher seed thats fine but tdont say they deserve it more lol. The sens were 1-3 against atlanta wow thats a great record against a weaker team, and the pens were only 2-2, lets be honest the rangers were domiant the entire reamining streatch of the season and were going to take who ever they played out, if the rangers play there hockey i see them taking the sens out easily, and then you can call them a weak number four just so you can say 1940. |
