Cool Rangers blow another 2 goal lead

The Rangers blew their third 2-goal lead in the last week and lost to the Penguins in a shootout 4-3......They are toast!

Re: Rangers blow another 2 goal lead

there not out of it, they still have games in hand. What they need to do, is sit henrik the guys has started something like the last 29 of 30 games and the last 20 straight. Bring Montoya up stop nursing these kids cause of busts in the past bring up callahan and montoya. Find out who is better montoya or henrik we had the same situation at the begining of the ninties and look how it worked out. Beezer took the the panthers to the stanley cup and lost and richter went and won a cup and is now preparing to run for congress

Cool Re: Rangers blow another 2 goal lead

Did you hear that in the last few hours of the trading deadline, Glen Sather was on a plane to Edmonton for the Messier ceremony? He probably had his cell phone turned off.

Re: Rangers blow another 2 goal lead

the rangers had made their deals, they got avery the grit they needed and depuis a good young player with great upside, and then paul mara an offensive defensivemen they needed at the deadline, what you want him to brin 8 players in?

Re: Rangers blow another 2 goal lead

8th seed carolina has 73 points 15 games to go

9th montreal 72 points 14 games left

10th toronto 71 points 16 games left

11th rangers 69 pts 17 games to go

pluys the 7th seed has played the same amount of games as the rangers and their 4 points ahead and those islanders play the rangers monday, this teams playoff shot isnt gone, for those who have written that, there not in the driver seat, but they are pretty close to it

He really should have been in his office up until the deadline.

Re: Rangers blow another 2 goal lead

remember first that there has always been rumors that sather might hold the titles of gm and president but his assitant is the oen that pulls the trigger. Even if thats not the case, you dont need to be in the office attached to a fun, you got cells, pdas and laptop that all work werever you are. So im not worried about that

Cool Re: Rangers blow another 2 goal lead

Are you worried that the Rangers have only made the playoffs once in Sather's 7 years?

Re: Rangers blow another 2 goal lead

I think they've made some odd, stupid choices over those years.
But they aren't out of it - in fact they are biting at the Leafs' butts.

Re: Rangers blow another 2 goal lead

what im saying is, if all the rumors i have read the past 2 yrs in the ny media, sather has been a figure head, dolan rather pay him to work then not to work. So if sather isnt making the trades then yes im happy, and if this was the rangers of fours years ago , they would of signed leetch, they would of traded for doug weight. But no their commited to building a team around the local kid who they just drafted whose namei cant spell( spaz....), stall, callahan, giardi. Plus they have henrik and Al montoya the cuban sensation come on the rangers are in great shape. I espically like the goaltending situation. Its like the start of the ninties when the rangers had beezer and richter. Who ever plays the best will be the goalie, the loser will get traded and bring some offensive talent into to town. So yes i am happy with the direction of the team. I just wwant jagar traded and ill be extremly happy. And i bet you anything since next yr is a contract yr for jagr he will have his best year. But i still dont want him He isnt a leader, he isnt even a follower

Re: Rangers blow another 2 goal lead

Yea, but Jagr attracts the best defensive players of the opposing team, opening it up for the rest of the team. He may not lead, but he is critical for any of the success of the team. He should not be wearing the C, but he is needed for any success we have.

Re: Rangers blow another 2 goal lead

I agree with that - he's not my kind of player and he definitely is a rotten captain, but who'd give him up?
who should the captain be? shanahan?

Re: Rangers blow another 2 goal lead

shanny is really the only voice of this team, they all just dont seem like leaders i like the team in all but the only leader for now seems to be shanny and he is out, the only reason why the rangers are playing so well without him is because ortemeyer and avery and betts, and a few others have been setting the temp with bodies flying, if they dont get the team going aat the start the rangers usually come out flat all game

Re: Rangers blow another 2 goal lead

he is fitting in great, reminds me alot of barnaby but with more skills. Ive heard alot of problems from his past, but since he has come here he has been a spark plug and a great asset to the offense.
