Re: Jaromir Jagr

Well, it does help that there were a few other really talented players on those Penguin teams - Lemieux, Francis, et. al. Some of the lines Jagr used to play on were just scoring machines.

I think the thing that impressed me most about this season is that he doesn't have that kind of supporting cast anymore, and he's still putting up the crazy good numbers. I mean, the Ranger's second highest scorer (Michael Nylander) is nearly 40 full points behind him! That's why I say that this is arguably the best performance of his career.

Re: Jaromir Jagr

Great point. He truly is the offensive leader on this Rangers club and without him, there's no doubt they would not be anywhere close to 1st. He's been amazing, refusing to be controlled by any team. It's truly unreal the kind of season he's having. And to think, there's still nearly 2 weeks left in the season.

Re: Jaromir Jagr

And with four assists yesterday, he breaks Ratelle's team points record.

Did you hear that he was planning to retire in two seasons, when his contract's up? The way he's playing, its hard to believe he's going to just walk away in 2008. He's probably got at least five more years in him, if he wanted to play that long, don't you think?

Re: Jaromir Jagr

At least. But hey, as long as he saved all his money, if he wants to he could retire tomorrow. Ofcourse he won't or else he'd have an entire state on his ass.

Re: Jaromir Jagr

Well, Jagr has his 53rd goal and the team record. He also got his 64th and 65th assists of the year in yesterday's 4-3 win over the Bruins. MVP? I think so. Heck, I can't think of another candidate who's even close to Jagr right now.
