Diaz fell off the face of the earth, practically, in the past two years. Once called "Mini-Manny" for his free swinging and similar offensive look to the all-star, is now out of the Mets organization. He was acquired from Los Angeles (then a 2B) in the Jeromy Burnitz trade in 2002, I believe it was 2002.

Wish him the best but it's no loss. It's a situation where the Mets got something in return for a guy they were prepared to cut anyhow.
