Cherish These Mets

A great post at this Mets Blog dealing with the lackluster Mets history. The 2006 Mets seem to be the beginning of something special with his franchise and fans across the nation and world should recognize that.

Personally, I became a Met fan in 1997 the year they came in 3rd place behind the Braves and eventual World Champion Marlins (4 games behind Marlins...oh why couldn't Cleveland defeat them?!). They would be competitive until 2002 when they fell apart for a few years before the organization went under significant changes. So yes, I'm realizing how special this team is right now and what they're capable of in the coming years.
