Phil Humber was drafted with the Mets top first round choice in the 2004 Draft and was expected to soar through the system. He had tommy john surgery last year and returned this season. According to those who've seen him in Single-A and Double-A, he's never looked better.

Humber is without a double the 2nd best pitching prospect in the Mets system, behind 2005 1st round pick Mike Pelfrey. Together, these two guys should be the building block for the Mets rotation beginning as soon as next season.
