Yep, Orlando Hernandez of the NY Mets certainly is on fire right now, winning again last night as New York beat the Padres, 7-3. According to the AP, "Hernandez [8-8] came to the Mets from Arizona on May 24 to bolster the back end of the rotation. He has won four straight decisions and in seven of his last nine starts, he has pitched at least seven innings. He has not lost in his last six starts since June 30." How long can El Duque keep this up?

lol As long as he can flip the switch back on come October, that's all thats needed. Frankly, Steve Trachsel looks to have lost an opportunity to start a post-season game (unless he improves during the backend of the season). Even John Maine looks to deserve a post-season start.

With Hernandez, you just feel like he knows everything that he's doing. Sort of like Pedro and Glavine. I guess veteran exude that type of aura about them.
