The Mets bullpen situation looks like it will be better for 2009. After signing K-rod and Putz. What do you think?

I think they will be a lot better.

Now we'll see if these new players can gell as a team, and ward off the choke demons that have dogged this team for two years.

I think the Phils are as good, if not better, and the Braves team has gotten better.

Ole Chipper is even chirpin about how the Phils and Mets talk too much, and need to not forget about the Braves!

I'm looking forward to the season, and for the battles to start!

I'm thinking the pen will only get slightly better. The only real improvement I see is K-rod who, don't get me wrong, is a great player, however that is still only one pitcher, who can't fix one giant bullpen mess. Putz really hasn't been too good these past years either. I think it will depend on how Putz does, if this bullpen can survive.

Agree. Plus you have 2 guys who are used to pitching in laid-back West Coast.... bright lights of NY tend to bring out the best and the worst in people. You can never tell how they will handle it, not everyone can play in NY.
