Well at the end of last week, Paul Lo Duca (a previously tremendous guy when it came to talking with the media) told the local media that he would no longer be speaking with them for the rest of the year and everyone would find out why on Sunday. Well, I guess The New York (tabloid) Post decided to wait till today because the front page story is....

'ADULTERY' IN DIVORCE SUIT

Sonia Lo Duca, a former playboy model, discovered her husband was involved in an adulterous affair in the recent past and has filed for divorce.

Paul Lo Duca and his wife Sonia will appear on a local radio show tomorrow to discuss the story. Who knows what's the case, the Post isn't exactly the place for your top of the line news.

Sonia, a native San Antonian, attended both John Jay HS in the middle-class Northside School District, as well as the University of the Incarnate Word, a private Catholic university in her hometown, the friend said.

What does that have to do with the divorce, baseball etc? I mean, gee, no mention of her junior high or elementary school?

It doesn't have anything to do at all with this situation. But it is interesting to learn about the backgrounds of these Playboy models, who go on to marry baseball stars. Does Anna Benson ring a bell? She appeared on the latest cover of The Sporting News. You should pick up a copy because it is "The Best of the Best" issue which everyone loves.

I hope this scandal doesn't affect Lo Duca's playing progression. He had a spectacular first half and I expect a strong finish while the Mets carry themselves into the Playoffs.

Okay sure...we learn that girls from uppty Catholic universties also pose for Playboy...I mean...really...who cares?...its a divorve story...not a look at this great couple lets learn something fun about them.

They aren't such a great couple, Gotham Dark Knight. As you can see, they are on the urge of getting a divorce. You might as well kiss their relationship goodbye unless they resolve this dilemna!

The Girl is 19 years old. You really have to wonder what these players think about. Sure, it's nobody's business but once something like this leaks out, it becomes everybody's business.

The other day, Lo Duca spoke to the media (w/ Wright & Glavine by his side) and said he won't talk about his divorce with the media. It's only about baseball.

It was a good thing to hear because the last thing the Mets need is distractions.

It's really hard to feel sorry for this woman when she allows herself to essentially be purchased (which is what all Playboy models do). As a result, she shouldn't be surprised when her gurantor wants an upgrade. Besides, she will get her buy out, which i'm sure is all she wanted in the first place.

Now today's NY Daily News reports sources came to them claiming Lo Duca is in some debt to bookies. If this is true, you'd think the Mets and MLB woul get involved.

The guy make millions. If he's in debt for that much, that's a huge problem. I'd be shocked if he lost that kind of money. But I've heard crazier stuff in my lifetime.

Do you think this would impact Paul Lo Duca possible chances of making it into the Hall of Fame? I don't think he would be elected for his career, but you never know. He had some good years along the way.
