Edgardo Alfonso has signed a minor league contract with the Mets and was assigned to Triple-A Norfolk.

Not a bad move at all, you never know what can happen.

The funnist statistic in baseball history is Alfonso's age being listed as 32. In reality this guy has to be about 43,and looks 53.

Maybe in San Fran. With the Mets he had some amazing years defensively and offensively right smack in the middle of the line-up.
