Tatis, Mets agree on one-year deal

NEW YORK -- Fernando Tatis, recognized as a comeback player with the Mets in 2008, is coming back in different way. The club announced Thursday night that Tatis had agreed to a one-year contract.

The 33-year-old third baseman-turned-outfielder is likely to share the Mets' left-field assignment with Daniel Murphy in 2009.

This is a great move. He can also contribute a lot to the Mets.
