Mets Return Home, Lose 2 Straight

UGH, we all probably knew this would happen. They looked so great on the road, they come home to such anticipation and they go in the tank. Hopefully we won't get swept later today or else there will be some negativity around the team. At least they have such a big lead in the division that they can have a bad streak once in awhile.

Re: Mets Return Home, Lose 2 Straight

I was hoping they would beat their franchise record of 11 straight wins.

Cool Re: Mets Return Home, Lose 2 Straight

One thing to take into consideration; The AL is much stronger than the NL - especially the AL East. Sort of like a winning race horse who goes up in class.

Minnesota 34-34
Seattle 34-37
Baltimore 32-39
Cleveland 31-37
Los Angeles 31-38
Tampa Bay 29-41
Kansas City 19-49

nl

New York 43-25
St. Louis 42-26
Cincinnati 37-32
Los Angeles 36-33
San Diego 36-33
Houston 36-34
Arizona 35-34

Colorado 34-35
San Fran 34-35
Washington 32-39
Florida 29-37
Atlanta 30-40
Chicago 26-42
Pittsburgh 26-44

Yeah, I guess all the people knocking the NL have some power behind it. Past the big 2 (NY, STL), the rest are middle of the road teams.

Oh well, the Mets in my book are just as good as any of the top AL teams. They'll have a chance to prove it against the Bluejays, Yanks and Red Sox within the next two weeks.
