Double Header v. SF Giants Today

With the horrible weather entering NYC yesterday, the game was called about an hour before gametime. A double header is scheduled for today with a game at 1:25 and then the 2nd game would start about 30 minutes after the conclusion of the early game.

El Duque starts Game 1 v. Matt Cain
Tom Glavine starts Game 2

The weather is nasty as can be here so lets hope they get both games in today.

Re: Double Header v. SF Giants Today

Right now, the rubber game is heading into the 12th inning. Jose Valentin and Lastings Milledge hit solo homers off Benitez in the 10th to tie the game. It was Milledge's 1st ML homer and it was amazing.

I'm sure Randolph didn't want to just the pen as much today with no breaks the rest of the week (west coast trip). The Mets have been involved in so many extra inning games this year and have a 17-6 record with 1-run games. Amazing.

Re: Double Header v. SF Giants Today

Lastings Milledge definitely shined sparks of brilliance and impressed thousands of fans, today. He is rising out of his early slump and will hopefully continue to have performances like he did today. As long as he gets homers and RBIs, he will entertain the fans and general managers. It would be pleasant to have this young prospect (or should I say, "slugger") in the Mets organization for his long career.

He's made some nice catches in the field since he's come up plus he looks to have a gun for an arm. I guess that's why they labeled him a 5-tool player
