The New York Mets will make it official tomorrow afternoon at 1 PM when they hold a press conference to introduce ace lefty starter Johan Santana to the world. SNY will cover the press conference live.

Santana was in the city over the weekend and when 'found' by the tabloids, he gave a smile and thumbs up (as opposed to Randy Johnson's shove and choice words lol) and even signed a few autographs for fans.

Right off the bat, he looks like a cool guy.

Throughout the press conference, Omar Minaya and Willie Randolph had trouble hiding their smiles.

Johan Santana is a cool guy. I heard a phone interview with Luis Castillo who said when they were teammates, he would tell Johan all about the National League. Santana has wanted to play in New York for a long time...now he will. And Mets fans are ecstatic.
