The New York Mets will bid farewell to Shea Stadium in 2008 and they hope to do it late in October.

But first, they open 2008 with a trip to Florida in March and then Atlanta.

They will play interleague series' against the Yankees, Rangers, Angels and Mariners.

The final regular season game in Shea Stadium history will be on September 28th against the Florida Marlins.

Another Yankees vs. Mets series? Isn't that played out? Why doesn't baseball switch up these interleague schedules more?

LOL, the Yankees and Mets will play each other 6-times each year for the rest of eternity. These games are so popular locally, they do huge ticket sales (as I'm sure the Cubs/White Sox, Oakland/Giants and those always interesting Marlins/Rays games).

But yeah, it gets a little overhyped usually.
