According to MetsBlog, ESPN's Buster Olney believes the New York Mets may try to sign free-agent starting pitcher Jason Jennings.

Jennings only made 19 starts with Houston last year due to injury. Before missing six weeks, he was 2-9 with a 6.45 ERA. In 2006 with the Colorado Rockies, Jennings went 9-13 with a 3.78 ERA while striking out 142 batters in 212.2 innings.

Jennings will turn 30-years old in July.
