Rumor has it that the Mets might be looking to sign Rockies catcher Yorvit Torrealba. Would that be a good move?

He is a slight upgrade over Lo Duca, but probably a better fit in the clubhouse.

Interesting about Torrealba, he played the most games of his career last year (113) but his offensive numbers are not too pretty. I can only assume he's a great defensive catcher and handles pitching staff's well.

According to Mike Francessa of WFAN, a Mets source (I wonder who that is? He just happens to have a great relationship Omar Minaya) told him that they will probably re-sign DoLuca to a muli-year deal. They're really not too high on Torrealba.
