Orlando Hernandez Surgery

The Mets announced Friday evening that starting pitcher Orlando 'El Duque' Hernandez underwent foot surgery to remove a bunion from his toe. He's "expected to be ready for spring training" according to the AP.

El Duque's foot bothered him for most of the last month plus of the regular season. Hopefully he can remain healthy in 2008 as he enters the final year of his deal with the Mets.
