Moises Alou has extended his hitting streak to 30 games tonight.

In his last 118 at-bats, he's hitting .407.

It's the longest single season hitting streak in Mets history and the longest this year in the majors.

And yet it seems to be happening so quietly, at least nationally. Usually anytime someone gets at least halfway to Joe D. it become a big deal, but Alou really isn't getting much discussion. Not sure if he's the victim of his own team's pennant race here or what.

I guess I jinxed it. I didn't post anything about Alou's streak until he hit 30. What does he do the night afterwards? Go 0-3.
