Some Advice For Travel this Sunday (9/9)

I'm going to the Mets/Astros game this Sunday and I lucked out becuase it should be Pedro's second game and he's suppsoed to be up against Oswalt.

I'll be coming down from Albany and I'm debating taking a train or driving.
I'm wondering if anyone has any advice.

1.) If I take the train, about how long should I plan on it taking to get from Grand Central to Sea via the Subway? I figured like 45 minutes.

2.) If I drive, how early should I get there to ensure I get a parking spot?

Thanks!

Re: Some Advice For Travel this Sunday (9/9)

If I can recall, I took the train to Shea for a game early in the Summer from Midtown...it took about 30 minutes, probably longer.

With it being a weekend game and Pedro, I'd count on it taking closer to 45 minutes or more to get to Shea. Never underestimate the effect Pedro has on crowds lol.

As for driving in, if you want to guarantee you get a parking spot (at least one close to the ballpark), I'd say no later should you get there than about an hour and a half before gametime.
