| Mike Pelfrey Finally Wins One
Mike Pelfrey was 0-7 entering today's game in Atlanta this year. He was called up to make the start and he had the best start of his young career. He lasted six innings, allowed no runs and only one hit. He struck out seven batters.
Pelfrey now has 3 career wins (far from tomorrow's starter Tom Glavine lol) and his latest couldn't have come at a better time. With the win, the Mets are now three games up on the Phillies (who lost) and six and a half games up on the Braves.
Amazing, just a few days ago all looked gloom. Now the Mets are on the verge of sweeping the Braves and as of Saturday night, have the best record in the NL. |
