Pedro to workout for Mets coaches

Get your T-shirts now: The Pedro Marti*nez Reunion Tour will make a one-time stop in Atlanta on Friday so that he can throw his between-starts bullpen session in front of some very interested Mets coaches and officials. Martinez was originally scheduled to throw in Port St. Lucie, Fla., on Thursday, but the Mets apparently pushed it back to take advantage of the relative proximity. "So our guys can watch him," General Manager Omar Minaya said. Those guys are the pitching coach, Rick Peterson, the bullpen coach, Guy Conti, and Manager Willie Randolph. -- NY Times

Re: Pedro to workout for Mets coaches

He could be pretty dangerous if they can get into the playoffs. Would anybody want to face a Pedro that is well rested at the end of the season.
