Amidst all the chaos and celebration that occurred in the sixth inning tonight in San Fran, it was a New York Mets fan who came out of the scrum (seeing highlights of it, people were literally diving into the dog pile to get that ball) with the ball.

The Mets fan was escorted by police/security away from the fans.

Expect stories to come out tomorrow about the Mets fan and the ball.


UPDATE: ESPNews reported the fan who caught it is Matt Murphy from Queens, NY.

The story as I understand it is Murphy was on his way to Australia when he decided to get a ticket to the Giants game.
