| Beltran to DL, Lo Duca Sits
Carlos Beltran has finally been placed on the 15-day disabled list with a strained abdominal muscle. It's retroactive to 7/25 so he can come back as soon as 8/9.
He's been sitting out about a week but has finally (and rightfully) been sent to the DL. That kind of injury can be a nagging one and is definitely unpredictable.
New Met, Luis Castillo is taking Beltran's spot on the 25-man roster.
Paul Lo Duca will not start tonight in Milwaukee as Tom Glavine tries for win # 300. Lo Duca wanted strongly to start tonight but won't due to "torn scar tissue in his right hamstring from previous injuries." Ramon Castro will start instead. |
