Moises Alou is slated to return to the NY Mets big league roster as soon as this Tuesday. He's scheduled to continue his rehab assignment in Brooklyn Sunday for the Cyclones.

According to MetsBlog, "Since starting his rehab assignment on July 16, Alou is hitting .333 with 1 HR, 1 2B, 3 RBI and a 1.095 OPS in 12 at-bats."

His return and presence in the Mets line-up is largely anticipated. He's a veteran bat who has a history of being a big league hitter.

Alou was expected to return tonight but he will remain on the DL due to a sore shoulder.
