Since returning to the major leagues just a few days ago, Lastings Milledge has proven to be an impact player. He's been in the middle of just about every game the Mets have played in the second half.
MetsBlog says, "Milledge has factored into all three of the games he has played for the Mets since returning from injury. His athletic slide around Reds catcher David Ross' tag at home plate scored the decisive run in his first game back. He hit a home run in his second game to cut the Reds lead, and last night his two-out single up the middle in the eight inning drove in the game winning run."
And in Sunday's game, Milledge belted a big two run double early in the game as the Mets went on to finish the Reds and take three of four in the series.
Lastings Milledge has certainly looked like he finally "got it" once he came back up to the majors and he's producing in the field and at the plate.
