| Glavine closing in on 300th win Tom Glavine earned his 298th win yesterday, 2-1 over the Cincinnati Reds. Apparently, it was a close on, though, as the Mets stranded baserunners in eight of nine innings. "I'm not going to lie to you," the Mets hurler, who only allowed two hits, told reporters after the game. "If I didn't come out of that with a win, it would have had psychological repercussions." LOL!

| Re: Glavine closing in on 300th win It was probably the best pitched game of the season for Glavine, going 8 innings and only giving up two hits. It was a great thing that Lastings Milledge came through with the base hit with Shawn Green in scoring position to score the go ahead run. 298 Wins for Glavine...two more to go. |
