| Mets Rockies series The sky is falling. The famous Chicken Little quote is the only think that came to find after reading what the New York media is writing following the Mets sweep at the hands of the Colorado Rockies. In New York Times entitled "Mets' Woes Are Stacked a Mile High", it reads, "After winning eight of nine to seemingly halt their three-week funk, the Mets have lapsed into another sluggish stretch, with nothing more disconcerting than their 17-7 loss at Coors Field. It was their fourth defeat in a row, and they left the Mile High City dazed, confused and suffering from a terrible strain of altitude sickness." Not to be outdown, the New York Post counters, "In their three games at Coors Field, the Mets weren't just beaten - they were completely blasted. The Mets were swept last night by the Rockies, getting slammed 17-7, and there wasn't one game where at one point they didn't trail by at least six runs." The New York Daily News calls it a "Mess in the Mountains" while Newsday refers to the sweep as "an out-of-control disaster." Come on, things aren't really as bad as all that, are they?
