Mets Net Four All-Stars

The New York Mets (along with the Brewers) have the most players on the NL All-Star squad out of any team. They are sending three starters, SS Jose Reyes, 3B David Wright and CF Carlos Beltran. Closer Billy Wagner is also on the team.

Unless John Maine is named to the team by the manager or the final vote thing, there will be a lot of upset fans.

Cole Hammels, Jose Valverde, and Brian Fuentes made it.... but not John Maine. For shame!

Maine isn't among the vote-in guys. It's Tom Gorzelanny, Roy Oswalt, Brandon Webb, Chris Young and Carlos Zambrano.

He might be a casualty of every team needing to be represented. All the Mets can't be there.

Technically, they could have left Fuentes off the roster, since Holliday was already going to be there from the Rockies.
