Earlier in the week, the Mets hit back-to-back-to-back home runs off Cole Hamels. Paul Lo Duca tossed his bat after he hit one of the homers and was celebrating.

Cole Hamels didn't like it.

You need to act like you've done it before. He's a veteran. He should know better. It's the old sacred game thing. There are little kids out there that are looking up to you. They look at what happens. That's not the right way to do things. It's a situation where you know you're going to face him for the next five, six, 10 years. It'll be more in his head than mine. It'll affect him more than me because I'll have the ball in my hand, controlling what happens.

I hate when players whine like this. If he doesn't want him to celebrate after hitting a third HR in a row, do not let him. I like when I see a player celebrate after a great play. I start to realize they are actually playing a game I love and not just doing it for the paycheck. If I hit a HR like that I would stare at it and watch it leave the park before I did anything. I might even stand there and soak up the applause before I ran the bases. I wonder how Hamels would take that.

Lo Duca is always crying about something. He's the one Met I absolutely cannot stand. Love to see him get drilled next time these two meet.
