Earlier this weekend, Shawn Green left a game against the Marlins with what was later determined to be a broken foot. More specifically, a broken metatarsal bone in his right foot. Green is now in a boot and using crutches. It's not as serious as it sounds but if he can't walk without pain on it soon, he'll likely be added to the disabled list retroactive back a few days.

Moises Alou may be back later in the week although the Mets have hinted he may take an extra days for rest before officially joining the team. If the Mets do put Green on the DL, they will likely call up minor league OF Ben Johnson who they acquired in an off-season trade.
