| Re: Mets Big 9th Beats D-Backs Two Met homers to cap a comeback? Damn! I hate the west coast time. I was sleeping at 10pm est. I guess i'll check out MLB.com and get the highlights. I suppose it's safe to say that David Wright is back ok track. |

I woudn't say that exactly. The Mets are missing Pedro and El Duque and Moises Alou is playing hurt. Besides, the Yanks injuries are mostly the young kids who are there because they're bodies (with the exception of Hughes, of course). But I wouldn't argue about who has the tougher list of injuries...lol, perhaps the Twins. |

| Re: Mets Big 9th Beats D-Backs The Mets just have players that aren't doing their jobs. Obviously Wright and Delgado head the list but pencil in Paul LoDuca as well. And I was against the signing of Alou because he's injury prone and old and now he'll be playing hurt for a while so his production will be way down. Ironically the supposed weak point for the Mets, the starting pitching has kept them in most of these games. Maine is a god, Perez has been great, Glavine is typical Glavine and when/if Pelfrey stops walking batters he'll be top notch as well. I look forward to the return of El Duque and of course Pedro but the Met bats have to wake up and wake up soon. |

| Re: Mets Big 9th Beats D-Backs Nuke, how can you say Alou is not producing? He's batting .348 and has 12 RBIs. Shawn Green has been great so far, he's hitting .351 with 18 RBIs. I agree, you'd like to see Paul Lo Duca get his BA and OBP up. I'm positive Wright will right the ship (pun intended). |
