| Mets Beat Rockies in 12...Crazy Finish A pitchers duel between Orlando Hernandez and Aaron Cook saw the game go into extra innings with a snake eyes on the scoreboard, 0-0. Billy Wagner had trouble finding the strikezone in the tenth and allowed a run.
The Mets came back to tie the game in the bottom of the tenth when Damion Easley hit a pinch hit solo home run.
In the bottom of the 12th, with Shawn Green on second base, the Rockies pitcher (Spiere) balked. He went through with his motion but never threw the pitch, looked as if he may have slipped. So Green goes to third base with one our. David Newhan strikes out and brings Jose Reyes to the plate. They end up intentionally walking Reyes to face Endy Chavez. With two outs and runners on 2nd and 3rd (Reyes went to 2nd uncontested)...Chavez lays a perfect bunt down the first base line and makes it safely to first. METS WIN!
