Tom Glavine vs. John Smoltz Round 2

The two golfing buddies pitch against each other again today, this time at Shea in the rubber game of the weekend match-up. Last week, Smoltz outpitched Glavine and led the Braves to taking the series in Atlanta.

The Mets bats woke up yesterday, we'll see if they can stay hot.

At this stage I think Smoltz is by far the better pitcher...Glavine is a crafty guy with good control, but Smoltz has the better pitches...

Anyone see these two as HOFers?...I mean look at their records and thier post season play...I would not be opposed to see them go in.

I'll take smoltzy any day of the week. Im impressed with glavine for reiventing himself and still pitching, but smoltz still brings the heat just like he did when he was younger. Both are hall of famers though..

Glavine deserved the win but the Mets pen blew it, allowing the Braves to come back. Renteria hit a game tying three run HR and then they took the lead and they couldn't come back. Glavine's still stuck on 293 for the time being.

Both Glavine and Smoltz are definitely HOF'ers...no doubt about it.

Glavine shouldve had the win but smoltz pitched good aswell. Im sure he will have a web gem play with his almost at third base bare handed throw to first. the guys 40 and doing stuff like that blows my mind. But as closely matched as these teams are thats whats its gonna come down to is the bullpen and thats where the braves have an advantage, I think anyway..

The Mets have had a stronger pen, but not this season.
