Mets Rotation is Strong

After tonight's 11-1 win in Atlanta, here's a look at the Mets rotation through the first go around:

Tom Glavine: W, 6 IP, 1 ER, 6 H, 1 BB, 2 K
Orlando Hernandez: W, 7 IP, 1 ER, 5 H, 2 BB
John Maine: W, 7 IP, 1 H, 2 BB, 6 K
Oliver Perez: W, 7 IP, 1 ER, 5 H, 6 K

Excellent work.

Re: Mets Rotation is Strong

Well, obviously I'm happy to see Glavine do well for fantasy reasons, but I'm really very happy to see Perez pitching well. I still think he can be a big-time pitcher... he just needed a new pitching coach to work with him, get his stuff back on track. So far, so good following his first spring training with the Mets (I think?).

Cool Re: Mets Rotation is Strong

The Mets have played flawless baseball but keep it in perspective. It's only been four games.

Speak of the damn devil

Saturday the defense fell apart. Errors by Delgado and Green, especially the drop by Green helped the Braves big time. Still, the Mets had a chance to tie the game in their final at-bat. Green nailed the ball, but Craig Wilson was right on the liner.

Ditto...great to see Perez back in the mix...great stuff a few years back...and then lost it all in Pittsburgh...

Re: Mets Rotation is Strong

Excellent starts for all of these aces.

John Maine will be on the mound tomorrow against the Phillies.

Oliver Perez will go against them on Wednesday.

Any predictions?
