Mets Kick Off 07 With Win in St. Louis

Tom Glavine kicked off the new season acting like the ace the Mets need him to be. He pitched one heck of a ball game in route to his 291st victory.

Need we not forget back in 1986 when they played the top team in the Cardinals, the first series between the two resulted in a sweep in favor of the Mets.

The series resumes on Tuesday evening as Orlando Hernandez is on the mound for the Mets. Kip Wells will start for the Cards.....(why is he their #2?).

Maybe the Mets will go 162-0....and then lose in the playoffs.

The Yankees already have that down pat...the losing in the playoffs that is.
