Well, it's been a long....long...VERY long time since the Mets last played. That called strike three as Carlos Beltran's knee's buckled is an image that is tough to forget. It took weeks to even move forward from that awful awful loss. But now, it's 2007 and a new season.
The Mets figure to be again one of the top teams in the NL. The offense is great. Jose Reyes is one of the best players in the game, and that's not an exaggeration. David Wright is a great player who continues to improve. The pitching while it may be a little bit of a question mark, I have faith in the guys. They have some reserves down in the minors as well so it's not as if they're hurting right off the bat.
The Mets and Cardinals rivalry is back.
