Where's Lee Mazzilli. and Dave Kingman |

| Empire: Piazza was their best hitting catcher - but he was such a defensive liability. He can't even reach 2nd base on a fly. So based on what Carter meant to them as a leader, I'd give the slight edge to him. Gotham: Nolan Ryan was not an all time great Met. I tried to do it based on how that guy played when he was a Met. Otherwise, I would put in Jeff Kent over Felix Millan and I'm sure there are others. |

| Gotham: I don't think you can just look at stats when it comes to Swan. He pitched on some awful Met teams of the 70's. He pitched a ton of innings and won the ERA title 1 year. Maybe Jon Matlack or Ron Darling should be on the list instead. Definitely not Ryan. |

| Ryan didn't pitch enough for the Mets to be included. Doesn't matter how great he was in his entire career, as a Met, he just didn't pitch enough. I would be thinking long and hard for Ron Darling. Very underrated and he was a winner. By the way - IF you wanted to include any player who ever wore a Mets uniform you'd have Gil Hodges at first and Willie Mays in center. But, like Ryan, they didn't have their greatest years (or ANY great years for that matter) as a Metropolitan. |
