Brian Bannister is Smooth in Spring

He has no pitched about 8 or 9 scoreless innings this spring in his quest to get a starting rotation gig with the big league club. I've gotta say, there's no legit reason he shouldn't be given a serious chance to start in the majors this year. THere's talk that it's possible Pedro Martinez could miss a start during the opening week of the season, so why not keep the kid on the roster.

He is our 2nd or 3rd best pitching prospect (depending on who you ask, some will still keep Phil Humber as #2).
